Opportunities For FREE PR In Your Local and Regional Press

Opportunities for PR are many and varied but sometime potential clients initially want to overlook the benefits that local / regional media coverage can give them. Possibly there’s a feeling that

it’s all just a bit beneath them, perhaps they have aimed high and want to see themselves within the pages of a high end glossy or sitting on the BBC breakfast sofa with Bill Turnbull, Susanna Reid and Charlie Stayt.

Consider this, however; the number of freelancers now working in the media is huge and not all of them choose to work 9 – 5, Monday to Friday. Couple this with the fact that most traditional print press now also publish online and you have additional and all important multiple touch points for those freelance media to find when researching their next story via Google (other Search Engines are available!). Not only will they find your website and social media feeds but they will also find editorial copy posted online from a range of different local and regional media sources. This all adds credibility to you and your business as well as raising your profile and visibility in what is very often a crowded market. It also demonstrates that you are probably quite media savvy meaning that the journalist will feel that they will get the positive response they need within their timelines from you.
