
What is a PR Press Pack?
A press pack could be considered as almost a resume for your company, yourself or your organisation in that it provides background information on your company, you, your organisation. Its aim it to give members of the media the information they want in order to peak their interest and cover the story you are looking to promote.
- Information on the company in the form of a short biography
- Biographies of key members of the team
- Product and service information (e.g. a product, service or performance review)
- Recent press releases, articles and comment pieces
- A list of frequently asked questions
Remember to include quality images to help your Press Pack really stand out. Remember also to be respectful of the reader’s time. Less is, quite often, more!
And finally… follow up, follow up, follow up! Issuing a Press Pack is one thing but members of the media get inundated daily with them. If you want yours to be noticed be one of the rare few and follow up its issue with a phone call. After all, PR is all about developing those all-important relationships!
